Jimmy partnered up with former Rough Cutt / Quiet Riot singer Paul Shortino to revive the name Rough Cutt with an all new band. Recording under the name "Paul Shortino's The Cutt" the band put out the albumn "Sacred Place"...
Featuring Paul shortino, Jimmy, House of Lords bassist Sean McKnabb, drummer John Homan and keyboard player J.T. Garrett, Rough Cutt originally convened playing as the Rhythm Junkies. Retitling the band ROUGH CUTT, the band went into the studio and produced the 'Sneak Preview' mini album. Production was handled by veteran producer Matt Thorr (Eels, Rough Cutt).

2001 witnessed both Shortino and Crespo playing upon the Aerosmith tribute 'Aerosmithsonian' on Perris records, giving their rendition of 'Rock In A Hard Place'. The song was one of Jimmy's own contributions to the album "Rock In A Hard Place", having co-written the track with Steven Tyler. The song became a favourite at Rough Cutt shows, with the band breathing new life into the classic. See www.perrisrecords.com for more...
