Rod Stewart Tour
Recruited as lead guitarist to one of music's most enduring stars, Jimmy joined Rod Stewart for two years on his World Tour. Number one for sold out shows, including a packed Wembley Stadium, the tour showcased Jimmy's playing once again to a wide and diverse audience...

Jimmy was on tour with Rod through 1995-1996,
taking in Europe, America and Asia with an "in the
round" spectacular. Jimmy got the gig through longtime
bassist friend Carmine Rojas, who was playing for Rod at the
time. It was somewhat of a dream come true for Jimmy, who'd grown
up listening to and loving Rod's early recordings. Rod soon saw
fit to give Jimmy an increased spotlight in the shows after
witnessing some amazingly dynamic performances. His killer guitar
work on tracks like "I Ain't Superstitious" and
"(I Know) I'm Losing You" (Click here for a mpg video of Jimmy playing the track with Rod on the VH1 Honours Show) made him a favourite with the
huge crowds, the biggest an appreciative 84 000 people at Wembley
Stadium on December 30th 1995.
